From Prison To Purpose

D. Victor Hancock founded The Way Of Humanity (TWOH) in the early 1970s when he was at the height of despair, sitting in a prison cell on death row (there was no death penalty at that time, so the death row cells were used for those who needed protection from other inmates).

The reason Victor needed protection from other inmates is that he went to extreme measures to save a guard's life who had a wife and children. An attempt was made on Victor's life as a movie was shown in the prison theater. Those who were trying to kill Victor in their attack almost took the life of another individual who ended up with hundreds of stitches all over his body.

As a result of the altercation in the prison theater and the prison yard, Victor was moved to a cell on death row for his own protection.

Victor was very confused and depressed over the entire situation, as he had helped several inmates and their families actually get off of welfare through a business he established while in prison.
‍
Like many people, this situation caused Victor to seek a relationship with God. Victor read the Bible over and over ad-nauseam and became very confused. He constantly prayed and read the Bible seeking answers, but for Victor, those answers never came. Victor started researching every religion that he could find or hear about and became more confused, and no solid answers ever came. Only one religion can be right, and there are literally tens of thousands of religions with just as many contradictions as the Bible itself has.

Victor finally realized and came to understand and believe that if there is a God, God would understand Victor trying to seek him out, and would accept him if he became a good, moral, and righteous individual. Also, if there is no God, we are all here on earth, and that there is good and bad.

Learning that there are literally millions of people just like Victor, The Way Of Humanity was formed. Now, for the last half a century, The Way Of Humanity has existed without one complaint and enjoys a 501c3 status with the IRS.

Up to the time of this writing, The Way Of Humanity has kept a low profile, partly because unlike many other religions and mega churches of the day, The Way Of Humanity does not spend its time trying to get money from people, but rather trying to help people. Due to the reality that society has become very fractured on religion and that there is so much vitriol and hate, and the fact that people are leaving religions in droves, followers of The Way Of Humanity have encouraged Victor to now expand The Way Of Humanity as a portal to bring people together and be a positive mega-force in the world today.

D. Victor Hancock has fully repented and changed his ways, became extremely successful in life, and has made major accomplishments. Some people, who have a solid belief in God, believe that God is using Victor to do his deeds.

Like anyone in this day and age, be it the President of the United States, be it a religious leader, be it a corporate executive, etc, Victor has his detractors, people who for no legitimate reason, only because they have nothing better to do than to try to get fifteen minutes of fame and make a few dollars. Also, there are people in the press, who for no reason other than sensationalism and to sell their wares, practice yellow journalism and publish material that is far from the actual truth. Victor, nor any other executive of The Way Of Humanity personally receives any money from tithing or gifting. Any money Victor receives is because he earns it from individuals or corporations hiring him to perform consulting over and above his teachings of The Thirteen Standards Of Knowledge, through The Way Of Humanity.
